Homemade Cappuccino Recipe:

The aroma of fresh coffee feels like heaven and will not leave you until you take a sip of it. I have never tasted coffee until my post-graduation. I have this friend who is crazy for coffee and used to drink it every now and then. I was introduced to this wonderful taste of coffee by her.

During my last visit to her place, I learnt a whole new technique of making coffee or to say cappuccino. Yes, I was simply amazed at the taste of the coffee that she gave me. Later that day, she showed me how simple and easy it was to make a cup of cappuccino at home.

And since then, I make it a point to take the little effort of making my own cappuccino whenever I feel like drinking it!!

Thank you, Jaya!!!

Great homemade cappuccino mix recipe, beats Starbucks any day!

Homemade Cappuccino with Instant Coffee

Recipe Type: Beverage
Cuisine: Indian
Author: Cherie
Prep time: 8 mins
Cook time: 2 mins
Total time: 10 mins
Serves: 2 cups

Ingredients:

  • Instant coffee powder – 2 tsp
  • Sugar – 2 tsp
  • Boiling milk – 1 cup
  • Water – 1 tsp

Instructions:

  • Take a cup or a glass preferably as it is easier to handle glass.
  • In that, take both the coffee powder and sugar together.
  • Add 1 tsp of water.
  • With a spoon or a spatula, start mixing gently.
  • Slowly increase the speed of beating and beat it as you do with eggs. Keep beating continuously till you have fine froth.
  • Now pour in boiling milk and mix well.
  • Transfer to two empty cups and serve hot.

Notes

* You can use an electric egg beater to ease the task of beating. Set the speed to low while beating.

** I have used Bru instant here. You can use any instant coffee powder as per your choice. I have tried Nescafe classic too which tastes equally good.

*** You can reduce the time of beating if you can use powdered sugar instead of crystal sugar.

**** If you think the water is not enough for beating, add just one more tsp of water and not definitely more than it.
